Interdisciplinary Project (IDP)

We are offering the course "Scheduling" (TUM online, module description ) in Winter Term 2025/26 and invite Computer Science students with a minor in Mathematics (or Economics) to complete their interdisciplinary project alongside this lecture. (As an alternative course, you may choose, e.g., “Applied Discrete Optimization” offered in summer terms.)

We especially offer tailored projects where you can directly apply techniques learned in these courses to deepen your knowledge gained in this area. Possible topics include the development and implementation of algorithms for scheduling problems arising in semiconductor manufacturing, cargo logistics, and healthcare.

Please send your application, including a CV, your examination reports (Bachelor + Master), highlighting your OR-related knowledge, and potentially your preference for a certain application area of the above or your own topic suggestions, to master.or@tum.de.
