Chair of Operations Management

We are welcoming you at the Chair of Operations Management, led by Prof. Dr. Rainer Kolisch. The teaching and research at the chair is centering on the application of Operations Research methods for analyzing and optimizing Operations Management problems. Current research topics are Scheduling, Routing, Health Care Operations, Airport Operations, Project Scheduling and Management, as well as Make-to-Order and Engineer-to-Order Operations.

Hendrik Weber received the first prize in the Best Student Paper Award of the 18th International Workshop in Project Scheduling and Management.

From April 6 – 7 the 18th International Workshop in Project Scheduling and Management took place, organized by Ghent University and The Vlerick Business School. For his paper “Generation and Characterization of Real-World Instances for the Flexible Resource-Constrained Multi-Project Scheduling Problem”, jointly written with Prof. Rainer Kolisch and Robert Brachmann, Hendrik Weber received the first prize of the best student paper award. The award recognizes the best paper presented by a PhD student at the workshop. The chair congratulates Hendrik for this great achievement.
