Chair of Operations Management

We are welcoming you at the Chair of Operations Management, led by Prof. Dr. Rainer Kolisch. The teaching and research at the chair is centering on the application of Operations Research methods for analyzing and optimizing Operations Management problems. Current research topics are Scheduling, Routing, Health Care Operations, Airport Operations, Project Scheduling and Management, as well as Make-to-Order and Engineer-to-Order Operations.

Maximilian Pohl receives Honorable Mention of INFORMS AAS Best Dissertation Award

The INFORMS Aviation Applications Section awards a prize for the best dissertation in any area related to aviation Operations Research. This year, the award committee selected the dissertation “Runway Scheduling During Winter Operations: Models, Methods, and Applications” of Maximilian Pohl from our chair for a Honorable Mention. Maximilian was invited to present his research in the Best Dissertation Session at the 2020 INFORMS Annual Meeting.
