The paper is addressing the timing of new product introductions in the automotive industry under multiple criteria such as utilization of manufacturing resources, sales, dependencies between products, and fleet emissions . Based on a mathematical linear programming model and real data from a major automotive company the trade-offs between the conflicting criteria are shown. The results are relevant for the current transition towards electrified vehicle portfolios.
