Chair of Operations Management

We are welcoming you at the Chair of Operations Management, led by Prof. Dr. Rainer Kolisch. The teaching and research at the chair is centering on the application of Operations Research methods for analyzing and optimizing Operations Management problems. Current research topics are Scheduling, Routing, Health Care Operations, Airport Operations, Project Scheduling and Management, as well as Make-to-Order and Engineer-to-Order Operations.

Pia Ammann honored with Heureka Student Award 2019

The Heureka foundation recognizes outstanding master’s theses dealing with mobility in combination with environmental aspects and optimization methods. This year, the award committee selected Pia Ammann, PhD-student at the chair of Operations Management as the awardee of the first price of the Heureka Student Award 2019. In her thesis, Pia developed an efficient and competitive Adaptive Large Neighborhood Search for a highly constrained Vehicle Routing and Scheduling Problem arising in the charter bus industry.
