Short Biography
Carolin Schmidt is a postdoctoral researcher at the Professorship of Business Analytics & Intelligent Systems. Her work integrates deep reinforcement learning with optimization and control to enable scalable, robust, and safe decision-making. Previously, at the Machine Learning for Smart Mobility Lab at DTU, she completed her PhD on prediction and learning-based control for autonomous mobility, including a research visit to the Autonomous Systems Lab at Stanford University. She holds a Master’s degree with honors in Electrical Power Engineering and Operations Research from RWTH Aachen University.
