Short Biography
Jochen is a PhD student at the Chair of Business Analytics & Intelligent Systems at the TUM School of Management and associated with the TUM Innovation Network "Governing Transformative Technologies". Jochen holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Management and Technology and a Master's degree in Finance and Information Management (FIM). Previously, Jochen conducted research at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology and the Stanford Sustainable Systems Lab. His research focuses on the application of optimization and deep reinforcement learning to power grids, in particular market design and battery control problems.
Outside of academia, Jochen enjoys skiing, cycling, reading, and cooking.
