Anna-Lena Sachs, former research assistant at the Chair of Logistics and Supply Chain Management, won the “Promotionspreis des Bund der Freunde der TU München e.V”. In her dissertation on “Integrated Forecasting and Inventory Management for Perishable Products in Retailing”, she developed a data-driven approach to improve inventory decisions for perishable items in retail.
In July 2014, she accepted the position as Assistant Professor at the University of Cologne.
