Quantitative approach to the management of human resources in IT-projects
Skilled manpower is a very scarce resource and therefore its efficient utilization is a crucial managerial tasks. Especially service- and project-oriented companies, e.g. in the IT-industry, rely on appropriate and efficient assignment of human resources. 
In an IT-environment knowledge is usually widespread across the enterprise, i.e. the people capable of applying an abundance of current technologies and skills are located in different departments. Additional IT-specific properties and constraints must be taken into account. Considering training and individual characteristics of learning and forgetting and intelligent assignment policies signficant cost savings can be achieved.
