Chair of Operations Management

We are welcoming you at the Chair of Operations Management, led by Prof. Dr. Rainer Kolisch. The teaching and research at the chair is centering on the application of Operations Research methods for analyzing and optimizing Operations Management problems. Current research topics are Scheduling, Routing, Health Care Operations, Airport Operations, Project Scheduling and Management, as well as Make-to-Order and Engineer-to-Order Operations.

Field trip to SCHUNK

Jointly with the students from the Master in Management and Innovation program of the TUM School of Management at the campus Heilbronn, Prof. Kolisch undertook a field trip to SCHUNK in Lauffen, a family owned international technology leader in toolholding, workholding, gripping technology and automation technology. As part of the field trip, the students got to visit the Collaboration Laboratory for robotics applications, the poduction plant, and the fully automated storage system from AutoStore.
