Course recognition and credit transfer

General 

Credits that have been earned outside of TUM both abroad and in Germany can be recognized within the framework of §6 ADPO and §16 APSO. The Chair of Operations Research checks the equivalence of courses/exams only for the two modules MA9711 (Mathematische Behandlung... 1) and MA9714 (Mathematische Behandlung... 2) as part of the process of credit transfer at the TUM School of Management. We process the applications as fast as possible in chronological order. We receive a large number of forms, so please send your applications in a timely manner - especially before exams.

 

Prerequisites

The prerequisite for the recognition of achievements is that there are no significant differences in the acquired competences (learning outcomes) with respect to the skills or knowledge acquired through a course at another academic institute, i.e. that the achievements are equivalent in terms of content and level. 

 

For TUM MGT Students

If you are an enrolled student at TUM School of Management and would like to request a credit recognition, please use the digital platform PIM. The platform for inter*national credit recognition (PIM) offers a digitalized process for all types of credit recognition. This means that you can use this platform for all types of recognition (e.g. for the recognition of credits from previous academic achievements or after a stay abroad).

For Students from other Schools 

Please download and follow the guidelines available on the Download Center. You will find all information and forms for your respective study program there. Complete the official credit transfer form from this page (in English or German). Then send the completed form and all necessary documents mentioned in the guidelines to recognition.or(at)tum.de. We will check your request and forward it to the Grade Management for further processing.
