Together with Prof. Kolisch, PhD students Linda Bentzen and Guangrui attended the 34th PhD Workshop for Quantitative Approaches in Management (QBWL, https://www.qbwl.de), which took place from 24 to 27 March in Pfronten, Germany. Over the course of three days, 75 professors, postdocs, and PhD students from 16 chairs of Operations Research and Operations Management discussed 25 presentations.
Linda presented her work on "Midwive Scheduling in Hospitals" and Guangrui presented his work on "Workforce Planning for Airline Pilots". Both presentations were very well received and Linda and Guangrui benefited from many suggestions and comments of the particpants.

Chair of Operations Management

We are welcoming you at the Chair of Operations Management, led by Prof. Dr. Rainer Kolisch. The teaching and research at the chair is centering on the application of Operations Research methods for analyzing and optimizing Operations Management problems. Current research topics are Scheduling, Routing, Health Care Operations, Airport Operations, Project Scheduling and Management, as well as Make-to-Order and Engineer-to-Order Operations.
