Together with the former PhD-student Thomas Hagspihl from Bauhaus Luftfahrt and the current PhD-student Andreas Hagn, Prof. Kolisch attended the Logistics and Transport Working Group Meeting of the German OR Society (GOR) at Frankfurt Airport, hosted by Fraport's Center of Excellence of AI.
Thomas gave a talk on “Reducing Climate Impact of Aviation by Aircraft Sharing and Passenger Bundling between Airlines: The NetShair Project”, where he presented joint work with Yiwen Zhu, who is currently undertaking her PhD at the chair.
Andreas presented in his talk “A Branch-Price-And-Switch Approach for Optimizing Team Formation and Routing for Airport Baggage Handling Tasks with Stochastic Travel Times”, a project, which the chair is currently undertaking jointly with Munich Airport.
It has been a highly interesting meeting. Thank you to Kevin Tierney for organizing it and to Torben Barth and his team at Fraport's Center of Excellence of AI for hosting it.
