Chair of Operations Management

We are welcoming you at the Chair of Operations Management, led by Prof. Dr. Rainer Kolisch. The teaching and research at the chair is centering on the application of Operations Research methods for analyzing and optimizing Operations Management problems. Current research topics are Scheduling, Routing, Health Care Operations, Airport Operations, Project Scheduling and Management, as well as Make-to-Order and Engineer-to-Order Operations.

Gregor Godbersen completes his PhD thesis successfully

Gregor Godbersen has successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled “Design and Operations of Charging Infrastructure for Commercial Electric Vehicle Fleets”. In his thesis, Gregor addresses the problem where to locate charging points for commercial e-vehicles. Two applications are considered: Taxi fleets in metropolitan areas and vehicles for transporting workers and baggage at airports. The committee, which consisted of Stefan Minner (chair), Rainer Kolisch, and Alexander Hübner congratulated Gregor on his achievement and wished him all the best for his future career.
