Layla Martin, research associate at the chair of Logistics and Supply Chain Management and part of the research training group "Advanced Optimization in a Networked Economy", successfully defended her doctoral thesis with the title "Rebalancing in Shared Mobility Systems – Competition, Feature-Based Mode Selection and Technology Choice" on November 26th 2020.
In her dissertation, she worked on open problems in carsharing and ridehailing. She addressed these problems using methods from operations research, game theory, and analytics.
