Last week, Christoph Kerscher attended the 28th ELA Doctorate Workshop in Athens, Greece.

The ELA Doctorate Workshop, organized by the European Logistics Association (ELA), is an annual event for doctoral students engaged in logistics research. It offers a platform for students to present their research projects, receive feedback, and network with peers and experts in the field. Students present their projects to a committee of experienced logistics professors during the workshop. The event is an excellent opportunity for doctoral students to enhance their research, gain valuable insights, and build a professional network within the logistics community. The 28th edition of the workshop took place from 19 June to 22 June 2024 and was hosted by the Athens University of Economics and Business.

Christoph Kerscher’s talk “Complexity Reduction Techniques in Vehicle Routing” focused on machine learning-based decomposition methods to enable fast and efficient solutions for real-world routing scenarios.
