On September 3rd, Stefan Minner, professor of logistics and supply chain management at the Technical University of Munich, was awarded the GOR Science Award at the annual conference of the Society for Operations Research in Bielefeld. He was recognized for his scientific achievements.
Operations research is an interdisciplinary field at the intersection of management, economics, computer science, and mathematics that deals with the modeling and optimization of decision-making processes. Stefan Minner has focused particularly on designing and controlling global supply chains, as well as optimizing inventory and transportation under uncertainty, and has published extensively on the subject and promoted scientific researchers.
