Short Biography

Kai Jungel is a Ph.D. student at the Professorship of Business Analytics & Intelligent Systems. In his bachelors and masters he studied Industrial Engineering at the KIT in Karlsruhe. His research is centered on the application of machine learning on operations research problems with a strong focus on future urban mobility systems, such as autonomous mobility on demand, smart cities and intermodal transportation. Moreover, he has a strong passion for Explainable AI.

In his spare time, Kai enjoys playing soccer and American Football. Additionally, he worked as a junior soccer coach.
