In Japan Petroleum Institute, he served as a member of the Management Information Subcommittee of the Japan Petroleum Institute in 1998 and as a member of the Survey Committee on Mathematical Science Methods in the Management Information Subcommittee in 1999. At The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ), Vice-Chairman of the Research and Survey Steering Committee, Electronics, Information and Systems Division (2005), Chairman of the Cooperative Research Committee on Production Scheduling Business Process Modeling (2010), Chairman of the Cooperative Research Committee on Systemization Norms for Production Scheduling Business (2012). Chairman of the Cooperative Research Committee for the Japan Industry 4.0 Demonstration Study in 2016. Research Leader of the Sub-Group on Skills Transfer at the Japan Food Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (FOOMA) in 2019.
